Fruit and Kale Smoothie


I bought fresh, organic kale from the farmers’ market and knew that I had to make a smoothie. I added some fruit and voila! A new, delicious smoothie was born.


Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free

2 handfuls fresh kale leaves, de-stemmed

1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple

1 small fuji apple

1 small banana

1 tablespoon ground, organic flaxseed

Enough water or coconut water to cover the fruit


Add the pineapple, apple, and banana to the blender and cover with water. Add kale and flaxseed and blend. Enjoy!

*The flaxseeds provide a generous helping of omega-3 fatty acids that are necessary for good heart health. Flaxseeds also contain lignans, which have great antioxidant power. The fruit, kale, and flaxseeds provide lots of fiber as well, so enjoy!
