About Me

Hi! My name is Christina and I am so happy that you stopped by.

I’m a Certified Holistic Health Coach and I love all things related to health. I enjoy talking about ways to eat healthily, but also believe that the body works as a whole. I take a holistic approach to health, which means that in addition to talking about food, I also believe in the importance of other aspects of our lives that keep us healthy: mentally, emotionally, physically, and even spiritually.

I have been working one-on-one with clients since 2012, which has allowed me to meet many amazing people. I enjoy working with clients to unpack the layers that are keeping them from being their healthiest selves and work with them to make simple yet significant changes that will last a lifetime.

By taking a holistic approach to health, during our sessions, we are able to address everything that can affect a person’s health, from nutrition and exercise to career and spirituality, and even home environment. It’s all connected!

In addition to working with clients in my private practice, I also work in a doctor’s office where I conduct nutrition consultations with patients. I am able to work with a wide range of patients who have a myriad of health goals and concerns, which has ensured that I have had the pleasure and experience of working with a very diverse patient population.

When I first received my certificate in holistic health and integrative nutrition, I launched the Diabetes Prevention Program at the Culver-Palms Family YMCA. This CDC-approved program aims to help participants prevent the development of type 2 diabetes through healthy eating and exercise. The goal of the program is to help participants lose 5-7% of their starting body weight and to make sure they get 150 minutes of exercise per week, so that they can make the necessary diet and lifestyle changes to prevent type 2 diabetes. I am happy to say that my participants averaged a weight loss of 7-12% within the first 16 weeks of the program and most got rid of prediabetes before the program was over!

I am incredibly passionate about helping others prevent type 2 diabetes and am currently facilitating several sessions of the Diabetes Prevention Program at UCLA, UCSD, and UCSF where my participants continue to THRIVE. They are regularly getting rid of prediabetes and many are also seeing improvements in their cholesterol and blood pressure levels as well.

The additional training that I have received in diabetes prevention also makes me passionate about all things blood sugar management, which is for everyone – not just those who want to prevent type 2 diabetes.

I believe in the food-mood connection and know that certain foods and behaviors can increase anxiety while others can help manage it. Because of this, I love working with my clients on things such as stress reduction techniques that will hopefully help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with anxiety. By learning to balance their blood sugar levels, they are also able to lessen the amount of anxiety they are experiencing – which is so important!

I love working with people and can’t wait to keep spreading the word about the importance of self-love. Everyone deserves to be truly healthy, happy, and confident in their own skin. It all starts within. <3

I am currently living in Los Angeles, but the beauty of today’s technology means that I can and do work with people all over the world to help them reach their health and wellness goals. Feel free to send me a message so we can connect and get started. I can’t wait to meet you!
